The Rebel Black Dot Song of the Day: SKAfter Party

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, "All Things Considered" from Pay Attention (The Last Angry Rude Boy)

Skammentary: The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are considered pioneers of ska-punk & ska-core, being one of the first bands to mix ska with elements of hard rock. Pay Attention, & "All Things Considered" in particular, marks an evolution of their sound to incorporate more elements of 2-Tone & even original Jamaican ska. This new sound is especially evident on their albums released after the 2003-1007 hiatus. I love the Mighty Mighty Bosstones' whole catalog, but to mine ears their best work is the most recent, post-hiatus music.
"The truth is what he's been through
And what he's had to do
And what he's seen and what he's done,
All things considered, what he's telling us isn't hurting anyone.

"All things considered,
He's not bitter,
He's not mean and he's not done,
All things considered, what he's telling us isn't hurting anyone…"
